LINDA PETRONE
Linda Petrone is the Founding Partner of Sage Search Advisors, a search firm focused on hiring talent for asset managers and financial service firms. These searches include both investment talent at all levels as well as C-Suite business managers for hedge funds, private equity firms and investment banks.
Linda’s career includes fourteen years at Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in the Equity Derivatives Group. During her tenure at GS, her responsibilities included trading single stock options, selling derivatives to a wide variety of institutional clients and managing the derivative sales team for North America. In addition, she built and led a derivative strategy team that leveraged equity research to generate and publish trading ideas for the institutional client base.
In 2004, Linda joined UBS as a Managing Director, co-managing the Prime Brokerage Sales effort for the Americas within the Prime Services Group. There she cultivated relationships, initiated new business and led the accounts of several of the firm’s most important hedge fund clients.
After her departure from UBS in 2008, she joined SAC Capital as a Derivative Strategist to work with the Equity Long/Short Portfolio Managers. She identified opportunities in the options markets and executed trades on behalf of the various portfolios. She departed from SAC in June 2012 to launch her career as an executive recruiter.
Now at Sage Search Advisors, Linda brings deep industry knowledge and experience as a line producer, hiring manager, business builder and investment professional to the search process. She is uniquely qualified to partner with clients to help identify, assess and recruit top talent.
Linda graduated with an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and as Phi Beta Kappa, with a BA in Economics from Emory University. During her time at Emory she played varsity tennis. She served on the Board of Trustees at The King School for 7 years. During her tenure she co-chaired the Development Committee, co-chaired two Capital Campaigns, served on the Finance Committee and the Investment Committee. Presently, Linda serves on the Board of Trustees for Exchange Traded Concepts, a private label ETF advisor. Linda also served on the parent committee at both Johns Hopkins University and Colgate University. She has mentored many individuals both for Student Sponsors Partners and American Corporate Partners. She enjoys golf, bridge and travel. She resides in Greenwich, CT.
